Light blue photo background

Light blue is not one standard colour. Some ID cards want a visibly blue field; other forms use the phrase to mean an almost neutral cool tint. This opening chooses RGB 200, 220, 240 because it is strong enough to separate a white shirt but still light enough to keep a dark hair edge readable. A replacement is convincing when the transition contains the colours of the new ground rather than a fringe of the old wall. Feather controls the width of that transition; decontamination removes the old ground from semi-transparent edge pixels; the contact shadow is useful only when the subject visibly meets a surface.

Official requirements change and a portal may compare the background statistically rather than by eye. Do not assume the opening swatch satisfies a notice you have not read. Also inspect glasses, fine flyaway hair and a pale shirt: those are where a strong blue exposes a mask error most clearly.

The red mask view is the useful checkpoint: it shows the area being replaced before the new ground can flatter or hide a weak edge. Zoom into hair, shoulders and any gap between an arm and the body before export.

Will a blue shirt disappear?

The new colour does not select the subject. Selection comes from the original photograph, but a blue shirt against a similar original wall can still make the colour-guided outline uncertain. Use the portrait model or keep brush.

Does the tool resize to passport dimensions?

No. This route changes the ground only. Cropping and physical photo dimensions are separate requirements and are intentionally not hidden inside the export.
